Finance firm gives refurbished laptops to NWDA

(CNS): A local company donated 18 refurbished laptops to the National Workforce Development Agency last month to help the training and development unit. KRyS Global said its IT department had worked hard to reset and set up these laptops for use outside the firm and were glad to find a worthy home for them.

NWDA officials said the laptops will help people registered with the NWDA access technology for educational purposes and to learn how to use information and communication technologies (ICT), which will help them with their job hunting. The hope is that registrants will take advantage of the National Training Programme and access they will have to web-based learning activities as a result of this donation.

Tara Rivers the employment minister thanked KRyS Global for their generous donation which will help make the NWDA services more accessible. “This is a great example of the public and private sector working together to benefit the people of the Cayman Islands,” she added.

Christopher Smith, Senior Manager at KRyS Global, handed over the laptops said the firm was pleased that the laptops will be put to good use. “They’ve served us well at KRyS Global and it’s good to know that they will now help others to achieve their goals.”

KRyS Global provides solutions to complex cross-border issues in the areas of corporate recovery, insolvency, forensic accounting and business advisory services.
