Cayman News Service(CNS): A Toronto-based marketing agency will be hosting the Cayman Islands contingent at the upcoming 41-nation Pan American Games (TO2015), running from 10-26 July 2015.

The FUSE Marketing Group’s downtown Toronto headquarters, which is within walking distance of the Games’ main venue, CIBC Pan Am Park, has been dubbed “Cayman House”, and will be a retreat for the athletes as well as others associated with the delegation and the Games.

“We are thrilled to have our new friends at FUSE as our hosts at Cayman House, our home away from home for the entire run of the Games,” said Jennifer Powell, chief operating officer of the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC) and chef de mission of the Cayman Islands TO2015 delegation. “This generous gesture adds a new level of excitement for us heading to Toronto, and our very supportive community back home.”

In addition to a lounge outfitted to promote the Cayman Islands, Cayman sport will be on display and Cay-Fan T-shirts will be available for sale to benefit sport back home. The Department of Tourism, Tortuga Rum Cakes and Cayman Spirits all contributed to Cayman House.

Garo Keresteci, CEO of FUSE, said, “FUSE is excited and proud to welcome the Cayman Islands to our city and offices. Cayman House is the foundation of FUSE Marketing Group’s activation of our sponsorship of the Games. The Pan Am Games are going to be transformative for Toronto, so we’re transforming as well.”

There will be a FUSE-hosted Cayman House party on 18 July, and Caymanians who are in Toronto can stop by for refreshments and live music, but need to contact the CIOC to attend the invitation-only event.

The CIOC will be announcing the Cayman Islands team on 19 June, once the qualifying period for all sports has closed. To date, athletes have qualified in athletics, beach volleyball, gymnastics and swimming.
