Film festival travels to Cayman

Cayman News Service(CNS): The annual Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase (TCFS) is coming to Cayman. This year’s festival, which showcases filmmakers from the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and its diasporas, is being organised locally by the Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF).

TCFS will be travelling to all districts and the Sister Islands starting in West Bay June 22. Click here for the full schedule.

Admission to all films is free due to sponsorship from Dart and the Lobster Pot, with food and beverages available for purchase.

In addition, tonight at 6pm at the Harquail theatre will be the red carpet premiere and awards ceremony for the CNCF Young Image Makers competition. Finalists’ films will be screened and admission is free.

On Saturday, 27 June at the Cayman Brac TCFS screenings, there will also be an opportunity to see the finalists’ films.

TCFS hosts annual film conferences in the Caribbean which are open to filmmakers, film authorities, exhibitors, cultural promoters and representatives of academic institutions in the wider Caribbean.
