(CNS): Football fans in the Caribbean will have another way to follow Barclays Premier League (BPL) matches with a new app. The Flow Football app for mobile devices, released by Cable & Wireless Communications (C&W), enables customers to access matches and will go live 8 August with the first game of the season, between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The app is the result of a recently announced audio partnership between C&W and talkSPORT, the official global audio provider of BPL football, which ensures that fans will have even more access to BPL as it happens. Under the partnership, C&W will stream every match of the world’s most popular football league to customers through their Flow set-top boxes and online via the new mobile application.

The new app also allows fans to check matches, and get up-to-the-minute results, team tables and score updates. The app includes dedicated sports segments, providing in-depth coverage of all breaking football news. Another feature is the app predictor, which will give fans a chance to win £1million every week as soon as the first match goes live.

“This partnership with talkSPORT is consistent with the commitment of the ‘new’ Flow, ensuring that our customers have more options to access high-quality content, including live sports and commentary via a number of devices,” said James McElvanna, C&W’s vice president of product management.

C&W, which now operates both the Flow and LIME brands across the Caribbean, will give all its customers access to live Premier League football commentary in both Spanish and English for four seasons, starting 2015/16. In addition to talkSPORT’s official live commentary, users will also enjoy coverage of selected FA Cup matches, weekly BPL preview and review shows, and other mobile and digital content.
