Teens to take on police on football pitch

| 30/10/2015

Cayman News Service(CNS): A group of teenage boys will be facing off against the police Friday in a friendly football match at the Annex. The John Gray High School Boyz2Men team will take on the RCIPS in the match that kicks-off at 1pm today. The boys are part of a school programme that supports and mentors young people at risk of or who have already fallen into the criminal justice system.

The teenage boys attend sessions every week with school counsellor, Pastor Christopher Murray, and discuss the issues they face that landed them in trouble.

But as another under-funded youth action programme the boys are raising money themselves through various initiatives to expand and support the programme which they recently told CNS really makes a difference to their lives.
