(CNS): Stingray Swim Club (SSC) has just launched a masters swim programme at the Lions Aquatic Centre. The course, which began 4 January, will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12pm–1pm, led by the club’s coaches. Stingray head coach David Pursley explained that after receiving inquiries about a masters programme, the club decided to start one as a three-month trial “which will be open to all levels of swimmers 18 and over who want to take part in structured workouts, receive technical feedback and generally improve their swimming”.

Pursley added that participants can train to take part in swimming events. “Masters swimming is a great way to stay fit and to socialise at the same time. If taking part in any of CIASA’s (Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association) open-water swims, completing the Flowers Mile or taking part in a triathlon are on your list of New Year’s resolutions then our swim programme will make sure you achieve them,” he said.
