(CNS): The five students who created the winning stamp designs for the 2015 special Christmas issue were recently presented with mementoes by the Cayman Islands Postal Service. Each young person received a framed stamp set with a first-day cover, a sheet of their stamps and a commemorative poster from Postmaster General Sheena Glasgow.

Chosen from more than 50 entries, the winners were Zara Garofalo, Arianna Anglin, Samruddhi Tagalpallewar and Cerys Martin, all of Ignatius Catholic School; and Clementine Bonnie Lumsden of Cayman Prep and High School.

The Postal Service released the stamp issue on 2 December, in a series themed: “What does Christmas in the Cayman Islands mean to you?” The competition marked the first time that the organisation had invited local students to submit their designs.
