Swimmers at the start of a previous Massive Open Water Relay

(CNS): The Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association (CIASA) is encouraging swimmers to register for the Massive Open Water Relay, being held Saturday, 12 March. Four-member teams will participate in either the 4x400m (12 and under only) or 4x600m (13 and over in either an age-group category or the corporate division).

Registration and markings will take place at Governor’s Beach from 2:30pm-3:15pm on event day, with the relay starting at 3:45pm. Entry fees are CI$100 which will include a social BBQ for all team members upon conclusion of the relay. Teams can also pre-register online at CaymanActive.

Sandy Hew, CIASA director of open water, said of the relay: “This is a great, fun event and something different than our other open-water events. We encourage corporations to come out and participate in what is a fun, team-building event – and which raises funds for our National Representative Team, which includes the recently named 2016 CARIFTA team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Massive for their continued support.”
