(CNS): Following its annual Charity Day programme on 15 March, Appleby Cayman has awarded donations to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, The Bridge Foundation, Cayman Islands Red Cross, NCVO and Lighthouse School. The law firm has been running the programme since 2014, providing an opportunity for various charities to bid for funds.

“Our corporate philosophy at Appleby has always been to support the local community through contributions in education, social welfare, animal welfare and the arts,” said managing partner Bryan Hunter.

“This Charity Day programme has been a fantastic way to meet and strengthen relations with members of various non-profits in Cayman. We are delighted to continually offer our support and wish them well with ongoing events and programmes that benefit the local community.”

This year, the application process for the programme was slightly different than previously, where charities were invited to present to the Charity Day panel. Instead, the panel met to review each application, determining which non-profit would be awarded funds based on certain criteria.
