(CNS): Seven teenage girls representing various districts in the Cayman Islands have been selected to participate in the 2016 Miss Teen Pageant. The Lions Club of Grand Cayman, which is hosting the competition, said there were numerous applicants, who were all interviewed by a selection panel.

“These seven impressed the panel most and now have the honour of vying for the Miss Teen Cayman Islands 2016 Title,” a release from the service club stated.

A rigorous round of training and preparation has begun and the Miss Teen Organising Committee is pleased with the caliber of candidates who put themselves forward for this prestigious opportunity.

The candidates all come with high academic records, a record of community service, vision for the future of Cayman and Cayman’s youth and personal ambition to be the leaders of the future.

As the girls begin their activities, the committee is asking the public to encourage and motivate them along their journey.
