Last year’s Running for Red participants

(CNS): The annual Running for Red race in support of the Cayman Islands Red Cross is set for Saturday, 27 August. Hosted by the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA), the event is open to runners and walkers of all levels. “CIIPA’s social committee is proud to host Running for Red for its fourth consecutive year,” said Fareed Hosein, chair of the association’s organising committee.

“This is a great fun run for the whole family, with proceeds benefiting a worthy charity.”
Held at the North Sound Golf Club, the run covers two separate distances, a 5K and a 10K, both of which begin at 6:30am.

The $25 registration fee includes breakfast and entry into a raffle prize drawing.  CIIPA is also seeking $500 sponsors.

Initially conceived by CIIPA vice president Ben Leung, Running for Red has consistently been a successful charity run, with last year’s event raising more than $7,000 for the Red Cross.

To volunteer, sponsor, or to find out more about the event, email CIIPA or call 749-3360
