(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Riding School held the second leg of its combined training league took place Sunday, 9 October, with 32 riders getting up at the crack of dawn to prepare their horses for a day of competition and fun. The school introduced this new challenge last month; unlike most other equestrian competitions where horse and rider attempt a single discipline, combined training pairs dressage with a round of show jumping.

School owner Tracey Surrey said of the new event, “We feel it helps the competitive rider to improve their riding in all areas and not just concentrate on one element, whilst it makes it considerably more challenging.

“We have already seen tremendous improvement in the level of riding which is extremely encouraging and lots of new riders wanting to participate”.
