(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Heart Fund’s (CHF) 10th annual International Symposium, being held Thursday, 23 March, will feature speakers sharing information regarding the latest research, current technology and advancements in preventative cardiovascular medicine. The non-profit CHF is dedicated to educating the public, influencing policy and supporting access to high quality health care through various programmes and initiatives.

Among the speakers scheduled to appear is paediatric cardiac surgeon Dr Steven Bibevski, of Florida-based Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, who in his presentation, “Innovative Therapies in Congenital Heart Surgery”, will share insights about a case study from that medical facility. His presentation will focus on the use of artificial heart support for children awaiting heart transplant and the latest product in the market for pediatric valvular repair.

Bibevski said he was excited and honoured to speak at the symposium. “As physicians, our focus is on the health, wellbeing and healing of our patients,” he said. “We are very fortunate to have an experienced group of experts who gather together in search for ways of innovating treatments while delivering compassionate care to our patients.”

The symposium is scheduled from 5pm-9pm at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.
