(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Islands Cycling Association (CICA) partnered with Feed Our Future (FOF) to host the third annual Century Ride, raising a total of $10,500, which will enable the non-profit organisation to provide approximately 2,000 nutritious meals to children in private and public schools. More than 90 participants of all ages and fitness levels, with the majority dressed in their FOF 2017 cycling jersey, gathered early on Sunday, 9 April to cycle 100 miles around the island, starting and ending at Ristorante Pappagallo in West Bay, in an effort to combat childhood hunger.

“FOF is very appreciative of the three-year partnership with the Cycling Association and hopes that this partnership and event will continue to grow to ensure that Feed Our Future can meet its main objective to provide nutritious meals to kids free of charge,” said Stacey VanDevelde, FOF chair.

Craig Merren, president of CICA, thanked everyone who took part in the event. “The CICA is extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors, partners, volunteers and participants as all funds raised will benefit Feed Our Future’s school meals programme, which continues to make a positive impact on the lives of children across the Cayman Islands,” he said.
