Kids urged to honour fathers

| 15/06/2017

CNS Local Life(CNS Local Life): The Family Resource Centre (FRC) is urging children to celebrate their fathers throughout the remainder of June. Tying into Father’s Day (Sunday, 18 June), the centre’s Responsible Fatherhood “Be a Dad Daily” campaign encourages children to either email the FRC or log on to its Facebook page to write about the ways in which their dads are there for them daily, using the hashtag #beadaddaily.

Alternatively, participants can email or upload a picture with a caption of these doting dads onto the centre’s Facebook page.

“While most men can father a child, the FRC wants to acknowledge the consistent and caring parenting that many men in the Cayman Islands gladly undertake on a daily basis,” said FRC programme coordinator Charmaine Miller.

“These men contribute greatly to the social-emotional care of their children and provide for their current and future economic stability.”

Participants with the best responses will receive a prize.

To enter, email the centre or post your answers on the FRC Facebook page
