Cayman men’s relay team wins gold

(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Islands came in 10th position at the end of the NatWest Islands Games in Gotland, Sweden, which were held from 24 June to 30 June. The team bagged 25 medals in total, including seven gold thanks to the country’s track and field stars and the basketball team. On the final day of the Games, the men’s basketball team overcame Gibraltar by just one basket to take gold, 82-80.

Cayman basketball team won gold at the NatWest Island Games

On the track, Kemar Hyman, Jamal Walton, Carl Morgan and Jeavhon Jackson won gold for the Cayman Islands in the 4×100 metre relay, clocking 41.46. Morgan had an even better day than his relay team mates as he also won a gold on the field when he leapt 14.69 metres in the triple jump.

The Isle of Man finished top of the table with 101 medals, including 39 gold.
