PC Christopher Donaldson doing his part to brighten up the library

(CNS Local Life): Volunteers from Prospect Community Group (PCG) gave up their Saturday to help give the Red Bay Primary School library a facelift. Part of the school’s library rejuvenation project, the work, which took place 26 August, included cleaning, organising and repainting the entire space. Organiser and PCG executive member Kara Coe said, “It was a great way to give back to the community, and thanks go out to all of those who took time out of their busy weekend to assist.”

Although the hard work has been completed, the group is asking for donations of books, cushions and rugs to make the space more vibrant and appealing to the students.

The group meets the first Monday of every month at the Seafarer’s Hall. The next meeting is 4 September.
