(CNS Local Life): After the tournament was postponed twice due to rain, the juniors finally were back on the tennis courts this past weekend, with 24 players competing in three age categories. Phin Ellison won in the 10 and under final against Jake Fagan 6-2, 6-3. Jakub Neveril beat Willow Wilkinson in the close 14 and under final 6-4, 6-4. Jake Booker won the 18 and under final against Jade Wilkinson 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in a match lasting more than three hours.

Due to the rain on Saturday 14 Ocotber, Booker and Wilkinson continued their match the next day, with both players fighting their hearts out in a great display of tennis, stated a press release from the Tennis Federation of the Cayman Islands.

The organisers also noted that it was great to see how the level of tennis keeps improving in all the age categories. The tournament took place at the Courts Tennis Centre at The Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman.

The next event and last tournament for the year will be the Masters, which will be held at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club in November.
