(CNS Local Life): Two St Ignatius Catholic School students – Daniel Champoux and Robbie Rutkowski – were named November team-of-the-month winners in the Saxon Investment Club programme for the 2017-2018 school year. Their team, “Exponential Growth”, had the highest return (20.42%) for November among participating schools. The club is an extracurricular programme that allows local high school and college students to gain practical insights into investing, money, the stock market, stock trends, and starting and running a business.

Students trade with demo accounts set up by OneTRADEx, whose trading platform is built on software that operates in real time and produces reports of investing activities. OneTRADEx also awards the monthly prizes to top performers.

The Saxon Investment Club programme runs from October 2017 to March 2018, when a winning team is selected, based on the highest net value of the investments made. Cash prizes are awarded for the top three teams, with prizes sponsored by Silver Thatch Pensions; Saxon Insurance; the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands; and OneTRADEx.
