Dr Deepak Chopra

(CNS Local Life): Medical pioneer and best-selling author Dr Deepak Chopra will be visiting the Cayman Islands next month to present a talk on wellbeing, and to share insights from his latest book The Healing Self. Chopra will be here for two days in June for an invitation-only event, as well as a public presentation and book signing.

Dr Chopra will speak on “The Future of Wellbeing” at a public event set for The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, on Saturday, 23 June, from 10am-11:30am, after which there will be a book signing for The Healing Self.

“I am delighted to visit the beautiful Cayman Islands in June,” Dr Chopra said in a press release. “Together we will explore how to create a more peaceful, just, sustainable, and happier world and it begins with each of us choosing to heal and transform ourselves.”

He will be speaking in support of “Zest Wellness”, a programme offered by British Caymanian insurance company as part of its medical benefits package. “Zest aims to improve people’s health and overall wellbeing, so to have someone as respected as Dr Chopra speaking on the subject is fantastic,” said BritCay corporate wellness director Jacqueline Perreault.

“We are delighted that he accepted our invitation, and we’re sure that he will provide inspiration to a lot of people to improve their health and wellness.”

He is the founder of The Chopra Foundation and co-founder of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing. He is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation, and is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism, stated the BritCay press release. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr Chopra has written more than 85 books, including 25 New York Times bestsellers, which have been published in more than 43 languages. The WorldPost and the Huffington Post global internet survey ranked Chopra the number 17 influential thinker in the world and number one in medicine.

Among his honours, Dr Chopra has received the 2010 GOI Peace Award, as well as the Ellis Island Medal of Honor presented by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations Foundation and the Trailblazer Award by the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, both in 2006. In 2002 he was awarded the Einstein Humanitarian Award through Albert Einstein College of Medicine in collaboration with the American Journal of Psychotherapy.

    Wonderful Mr. Deepak.
But if you are not promoting salvation through Jesus Christ, then what exactly are you going to tell us?
Positive thinking never shed blood for me.
Life is short, let’s keep it on the straight and narrow, not the broad and wide.
