(CNS Local Life): Island Heritage Insurance has awarded its 2018 educational grant to Taneil Lee, a senior at the University of South Florida, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in public health. Upon completion of her degree, Lee plans to return to Cayman to gain work experience while preparing for medical school in the UK the following year.

Glen Gibbons, Island Heritage general manager, spoke about the grant. “We’re proud to have launched our educational grant last year, further establishing our commitment to Cayman’s future by offering a student the opportunity for US$5,000 to help fund their college or university studies,” he said.

Dawn McLean-Brady, vice president of human resources at Island Heritage and member of the educational grant committee, added, “The recipient of the Island Heritage educational grant is selected by a committee of Island Heritage staff, seeking students who exemplify academic excellence, demonstrated leadership experience, as well as community engagement and service. Our 2018 recipient, Taniel, is a very impressive and hard-working young lady who we are certain will have a positive impact on our community.”
