(CNS Local Life): Following on from their seventh annual Walk for the Cure fundraiser for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society last month, CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank (CIBC FCIB) will again be holding a charity trunk sale, set for 1 December, with all proceeds from registration for that event also benefitting the Cancer Society.

Walk manager Shadden McLaughlin said in a press release, “Many members of CIBC FirstCaribbean staff have been affected by cancer in one way or another and therefore we have remained passionate and active in fundraising  throughout the year with bi-weekly dress down days, in-house raffles, coin bins and events for all to take part.”

McLaughlin explained that the community-focused event is usually held twice a year and is the “ largest trunk sale within Cayman”, adding, “With the holiday season fast approaching, what a better time to declutter your household and remember the reason for the season by supporting those in need.”

The charity trunk sale will take place in the CIBC FirstCaribbean parking lot on Main Street from 6am to 10am. Sellers are encouraged to arrive by 5:30am, to secure their preferred spot, and finalise setup no later than 6am, the press release stated.

Participants must register before noon on Friday, 30 November 2018, for a $25 fee.
