(CNS Local Life): A team of young men participating in the Little Grand Race 2019 has received support from a local law firm as they try to raise funds for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. Conyers Dill & Pearman has donated $5,000 to the team of Oskar Bjuroe, Jake Serpell and Louis Vagniez, who are taking part in the kiteboarding competition.

The race, all for the benefit of the Cancer Society, will take place between 18 and 25 February – the final date will depend on the weather and wind conditions – with experienced kiteboarders travelling the distance from Little Cayman to Grand Cayman in a single day.

Participants will undergo both a physical and mental test, as they attempt to cover roughly 90 miles of distance in as little time as possible, stated a press release.

Kevin Butler, partner and head of Conyer’s Cayman office, said of the sponsorship, “We are proud to support Oskar and his team in the Little Grand Race 2019,” adding, “This challenging event brings together a number of talented individuals and teams for an important cause and we are delighted to contribute to and support our local community.”
