(CNS Local Life): At the meeting this month of the Cayman Islands chapter of 100+ Women Who Care, Jasmine (the former Cayman HospiceCare) was selected to receive the group’s collective donation of more than $12,500. Three charities are chosen to have one representative make a five-minute presentation at the quarterly meetings, to talk about their cause and why they need the funds.

After the presentations, the group votes on which non-profit will receive the total funds raised by the $100 donation each member contributed at the meeting.

This month’s two runner-up charities, the Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) and Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC), also walked away with a donation of $1,000 each courtesy of sponsor PwC.

Anyone who was not able to attend the meeting but would still like to contribute can drop off their $100 donation to the Kelly Holding office on West Bay Road or donate online.
