(CNS Local Life): The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) has promoted Mark Wallace, who has worked at the authority since 2013, to ground transport supervisor at Owen Roberts International Airport. Wallace first joined CIAA as a ground transport officer, providing related services and customer support at the airport.

In April this year, after a competitive recruitment process, he was named to join two other colleagues in the post of supervisor of the ground transport unit.

“In his new role, Mark will be responsible for leading a team in providing dispatch services for ground transportation at ORIA and ensuring a safe and orderly flow of vehicular traffic, in addition to conducting briefings and preparing various internal reports,” said CIAA Chief Commercial Officer Bianca Moore Downey. “We are very proud of Mark who continues to lead by example and congratulate him on receiving this well-deserved promotion.”

Mark is professional, helpful and kind, among other great attributes I am sure.
I have spoken to him on a few occasions (mostly trying to get out of the parking lot when the machine was broken…) and I am not surprised that he has gained attention and a promotion.
