(CNS Local Life): Students have until Friday, 30 August, to apply for admission to a new full-time LLM Master of Laws and Postgraduate Diploma in International Finance at Truman Bodden Law School (TBLS), after two years of the programme being taught part-time. Applications for the September start of the one-year programme are being accepted from Caymanians, local residents and international students.

The LLM is offered in partnership with the University of Liverpool, meaning students can again their degree locally but enjoy the benefits of graduating from a leading UK higher education institution, stated a TBLS press release.

Prospective students can choose between an LLM including a summer dissertation on an agreed, relevant topic of the student’s choice, or a postgraduate diploma, comprising taught courses only. In addition, the programmes are offered full- and part-time, offering work-friendly schedules in central George Town.

The part-time programme is offered over two years and is open to Caymanian nationals and local residents only.

Mitchell Davies, law school director, said the introduction of full-time postgraduate programmes “is a natural and important evolution of the part-time offerings, designed to be attractive to local and international applicants alike”.
