Appleby boosts business support with two Caymanian hires
(CNS): Appleby Cayman has added two young Caymanians, Gemma McLaughlin and Ariana Seales, to its staff as business development manager and marketing communications executive, respectively, in the business support group.
“We are delighted to have Gemma and Ariana on board to provide us with a high calibre of business development and marketing support,” said global senior business development manager Claire Lloyd-Hickey in an Appleby press release. “We are confident that their experience will be of great benefit to our team at Appleby, and extend a warm welcome to them on behalf of all partners and staff.”
McLaughlin previously worked at Walkers, RBC and, most recently, Ogier, and brings extensive experience in business development, providing support to the corporate practice group as well as the funds and investment team in strategic management.
Seales joined the Appleby marketing team from CONCACAF, and previously worked at the Ministry of Finance in public relations. She will be responsible for delivering tactical and strategic business development and marketing campaigns, working with others to manage and develop a range of campaigns focused on promoting the image and reputation of the firm.
The business development and marketing department is also responsible for promoting the firm’s scholarship and article clerk programme, as well as its annual charity day and community sponsorship programmes.
