Runners step up for Special Needs Foundation
(CNS): The ‘50/50’ $50,000 marathon appeal to raise funds towards programmes for children supported by the Special Needs Foundation of Cayman (SNFC) has passed its target. More than 50 runners signed up to participate in the various races involved in the initiative (marathon, half marathon or relay) and all helped in collecting donations.
Fire officers welcome back sick colleague
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Fire Service turned out on the Owen Roberts International Airport tarmac to welcome Station Officer Percival Whorms back to the Islands on Monday, 21 December. Whorms had spent the last six months in Miami undergoing surgery and receiving treatment for a serious medical condition.
Law firm donates gifts to foster home
(CNS): Staff at a law firm in Cayman have gotten into the holiday spirit by participating in the “Harneys Angels” project, purchasing Christmas gifts for children at the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home.
