Top employee honoured for professionalism
(CNS Local Life): A staff member of the Cabinet Office Policy Coordination Unit has been named Employee of the Month for September. Aubrey Bodden, a policy analyst in the unit, was awarded for being most professional. She started her career as a civil servant in 2008 as a research officer and is being recognised for her work in the recent coordination of development month, which facilitated the empowerment and continued training of public servants.
Cabinet Secretary Samuel Rose acknowledged Bodden for her care and attention to detail. “You demonstrate a passion for the public service and for supporting the professional development of your colleagues,” he said in a government press release.
“Aubrey has shown our civil servants that we are an organisation that cares about their well-being and that we are committed to their success.”
Deputy Governor Franz Manderson praised Bodden for her “off the charts” initiative and exemplifying the Cabinet Office’s vision as a champion influencer of good governance. “I thank you for demonstrating such a remarkable level of performance and commitment to the Cayman Islands Government,” Manderson said, calling her “exceptionally efficient, unquestionably committed and an outstanding team player”.
He added that Bodden had “concern for the highest quality results, brilliant analytical thinking and passion for effective service”.
Manderson thanked Rose and the staff of the Cabinet Office for demonstrating excellent teamwork. “Mr Rose, your team lives by your office’s mantra: ‘Everyone Together Achieves More’. Some question if my job is hard. In many ways it is easy as a result of the excellent support and teamwork I enjoy from chief officers and their staff.
“It is obvious that Ms Bodden is a role model for other civil servants when it comes to teamwork and raising the level of performance of the civil service.”
