Pensions Board brings anniversary message to churches
(CNS Local Life): The Public Service Pensions Board (PSPB) is enlisting churches throughout Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac to help celebrate the organisation’s 25th anniversary. The churches will be asked to read out a brief message from the PSPB during their worship services on Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 February. According to PSPB managing director Jewel Evans Lindsey, the missive’s message is twofold: to give thanks for its quarter century of operation and to reach as many of its nearly 10,000 members (pensioners and active) as possible regarding the anniversary and the planning of events to mark it.
“Given the key role such organisations as PSPB can play in securing dignity and respect for the elderly in retirement and the importance of being prepared for retirement, we think this is a message that will be of value for all congregations regardless of age or denomination,” Evans Lindsey said.
This year’s celebrations started off with an online PSPB logo survey of its members and will include events designed to appeal to a wide cross-section of its younger and older members.
