Triple C celebrates with a walk/run
(CNS Local Life): As its 75th anniversary celebrations continue, Triple C School held a 5K walk/run on Saturday, 13 May, with proceeds going toward improvements to the campus and a scholarship fund. The wider Triple C community, including parents, students, staff and alumni, took part with even young ones getting to enter a “Little Sprinters” race, earning them participation medals and goodie bags.
All money raised is being used to enhance the playground area, and add to the Ena Merren Memorial Scholarship Fund.
School principal Mable Richardson said of the event: “Our 5K walk/run gained momentum with the highest number of participants and we are expecting to build upon this success. I would like to thank everyone who attended the event for joining with us in this endeavour to underwrite some of the cost for students to attend Triple C School through the Ena Merren Memorial Scholarship and to help beautify our…playground.”
The fastest female, male, and boy (18 and under) runners each took home a first-place trophy with participant’s medals presented to children 11 and under.
