Rotary Sunrise welcomes new president
(CNS Local Life): Matthew Seales was installed as the new president of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise (Rotary Sunrise) on Wednesday, 21 August, according to the service club. A former member of the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman, in 2016 Seales was the first active Rotaractor to be inducted to a Rotary Club as a Rotarian, simultaneously maintaining membership in both Clubs, making him the first ‘Rotaractarian’.
Since joining Rotary Sunrise, Seales has served as Literacy Director and on numerous committees.
After outgoing President Jerrell Garner notified the club that he was departing on short notice to be closer to his family in Arkansas, Seales stepped into the role of President, with the support of the club’s Board of Directors.
Seales told those present at the ceremony, “Sunrise, I am ready to work, I am ready to lead, I am ready to inspire.”
