Women stand up against gender violence
(CNS Local Life): Family Resource Centre (FRC) staff, fellow civil servants, and members of the Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) took time on Friday, 30 November to spell out their opposition to gender violence. The special photo-op at the Government Administration Building was part of the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign.
This year’s theme, “Orange the World: #HearMeToo”, was emblazoned on orange and white T-shirts, that participants wore, a press release said.
The FRC, in partnership with Gender Equality Cayman Islands and BPW, has organised several activities in honour of the 16 days campaign. These include social media posts, the Domestic Violence Intervention Training Programme, and community- and prison-based workshops.
