Cayman Rugby 15s gear up to tackle World Cup qualifier

Registration deadline looms for Off The Beaten Track

Webster given CIOC nod to cover Rio Olympics

Dready kicks in with rugby fundraiser
(CNS): Local artist Shane Aquart, known for his “Dready” character, has joined fundraising efforts to help finance the Borelli Walsh Cayman Rugby Sevens team’s trip to the Hong Kong Sevens, set for 8-10 April. DG’s 5K fun run for new ambulance
(CNS): As he limbers up for this year’s 5K Challenge, Deputy Governor Franz Manderson said he is hoping the runners can raise $50,000 for the Cayman Heart Fund toward their goal of raising $150,000 to buy a new ambulance for the public hospital on Grand Cayman to replace one of the two backup ambulances.

Young Sister Islands swimmers feel the burn
(CNS): The Sister Islands Swim Club held its first Burner Meet for 2016 on Saturday, 31 January, in Cayman Brac, at the government pool in Stake Bay. Marking the first meet in many years, 17 swimmers from age six to the open category competed in the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.

Tennis legends set to serve at weekend event
(CNS): The Legends at Camana Bay tennis tournament is set for this weekend, 5 and 6 February, with matches featuring some of the sport’s biggest names. Stingray uses film to benefit swimmers
(CNS): Stingray Swim Club is incorporating underwater filming into its training regime, enabling coaches and athletes to find and correct any flaws in swimmers’ strokes, which will improve their performance in the pool. The technology, donated by Cayman Islands Boat Rentals, comprises a mobile video cart, television, underwater camera and DVR.
