Webb ready to tackle second CONCACAF term
(CNS): After being reelected in April, Jeffrey Webb will be officially installed as CONCACAF president at the 65TH FIFA Congress in Zurich on Friday, 29 May. Webb was reelected unopposed by member associations from North and Central America, and the Caribbean at the confederation’s 30th Ordinary Congress, held in the Bahamas.
Future of Cayman rugby looks bright
(CNS): Cayman Junior Rugby took a record travelling party of more than 70 players to the Bahamas for the Freeport Junior Rugby Festival 2015 to play against teams from Freeport Rugby Club and Nassau Rugby Club. The teams represented were Under 19s, Under 14s, Under 12s and the Under 10s.
Swim meets show off local talent
(CNS): Last weekend’s Vigoro Nursery’s Friday Night Lights, a distance meet for athletes aged 11 and over; and the Lions Sprint event, open to all ages, marked another successful turn for competitive swimming in the Cayman Islands.
CIAA head gains international degree
(CNS): Dalton Watler, president of the Cayman Islands Athletic Association, has earned a sports management degree from the University of Lleida, Spain. Organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the philosophy behind the MEMOS (Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management) degree is to help professionals working in national or international sports bodies manage their organisations better.

(CNS): The Cayman Islands national table tennis team is in the final stages of training ahead of the Island Games which run from 27 June-3 July in Jersey. Representing Cayman will be Ansel Tempral (team captain), Donovan Nelson (national champion), Leigh Hipkins, Peter Smith, Claudia Stich and Robert Sairsingh (manager).

Cayman to host equestrian coaching course
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation will host its first-ever international-level training course, for nine coaches from across the Caribbean. The FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) Level 2 course, from 20-25 June, will teach how to coach riders to 1.3m in jumping and to a medium/advanced level in dressage.
