(CNS): Last weekend’s Vigoro Nursery’s Friday Night Lights, a distance meet for athletes aged 11 and over; and the Lions Sprint event, open to all ages, marked another successful turn for competitive swimming in the Cayman Islands.
Awards event splashes out for swimmers

New meet posthumously honours young swimmer

(CNS): The open-water competition season continues with the 13th Annual Butterfield 800m Sea Swim set for Saturday, 30 May. Registration will take place on race day at Governor’s Beach from 3pm-3:45pm, and the race will start at 4pm.
Sea swim sails to exciting finish
(CNS): More than 120 people took the plunge for the 13th Annual Butterfield 800m Sea Swim 30 May, with university student Geoffrey Butler coming home for the summer in time to win in a tight finish. Catrionae MacRae of the Stingray Swim Club (SSC) took top honours among female competitors.
