(CNS Local Life): The annual Poppy Appeal kicked off Wednesday, 10 October, when Acting Governor Franz Manderson, met with members of the Cayman Islands Veterans Association, and was pinned with the appeal’s first poppy by former US Marine Shadden McLaughlin. Former US Marine Shadden McLaughlin continued the annual tradition of pinning the governor with the appeal’s first poppy and Kilpatrick also made the first donation into a collection box.
