Christon Asa Ferguson from Creek & Spot Bay Primary School in Cayman Brac took top honours in the RBC Royal Bank 19th annual Primary Spelling Bee Competition.
Golf fundraiser scores for the Red Cross
(CNS Local Life): RBC Royal Bank continued its 19-year partnership with the Cayman Islands Red Cross (CIRC) during their recent fundraising golf tournament. This year’s event featured the Canadian Olympian Jamie Broder and raised more than $50,000 for the charity. More than 100 participants from organisations across Cayman gathered to play while raising funds for CIRC.
Champion spellers impress at competitions
(CNS): The annual national spelling bees ended in tense tiebreakers for both primary and secondary school students at finals held on 1 and 2 December. In the 32nd Lions Club of Grand Cayman Secondary Schools Spelling Bee, 14 students vied for the title.
