(CNS): Rotary Central has facilitated the donation of four cardiac and vital sign monitors to the Health Services Authority (HSA), which should improve the provision of health care at Cayman Islands Hospital.

Upon receiving the monitors, which are valued at more than US$30,000, HSA CEO Lizzette Yearwood said she was thrilled with and most appreciative of the generous contribution.

Accident and Emergency Coordinator Elizabeth McLaughlin added: “The equipment will enhance the speed and quality of services provided by us.”

Rotary Central president Larry Tibbetts, who was unable to attend but arranged for a team of members to make the presentation, said, “Rotary International has several key areas of focus worldwide (with) health being one of them.

“I and my board decided after getting information on the HSA needs that we could best support it by arranging for these monitors to be donated to them.”
