(CNS): Patrice Donalds will be running a half marathon Sunday, 6 December, to raise awareness and funds for the Estella Scott-Roberts Foundation (ESRF). She is seeking donations for her efforts based on estimates for her expected finishing time at the Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon.
Young swimmers learn life skills
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association (CIASA) recently hosted a leadership conference for 40 of Cayman’s top youth swimmers, which focused on life-skill development and recognising how sports and, in particular, swimming, affect that development.
Primary Football League set for playoffs
(PFL): The 2015/2016 CUC Primary Football League (PFL) and CUC Girls’ Primary Football League (GPFL) regular seasons concluded Saturday, 28 November with Savannah Primary, Cayman Prep and Cayman International School topping the standings in their respective age divisions and leagues going into the playoffs.
Food drive launched ahead of Christmas
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Ministry and Department of Tourism launched a Christmas food drive at the Government Administration Building (GAB), encouraging civil servants to donate non-perishable food items to stock the Elmslie Memorial United Church’s pantry. The goods will be distributed to those in need during the holiday season and beyond.
