Registration deadline looms for Off The Beaten Track

(CNS): Registration for the seventh annual Off The Beaten Track, one of Cayman’s most arduous sporting events, will be closing Friday, 19 February. Race director Anna Keating said the 50K event, set for Sunday, 21 February, will take runners through areas of untouched nature and provide a new challenge and tougher terrain for participants this year.

(CNS): The new mascot of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority’s (CIAA) was on hand to offer Valentine’s greetings to travellers lining up at Owen Roberts International Airport. The six-foot-tall Cayman parrot named “Calypso”, CIAA’s latest customer-service and marketing initiative, took photos with passengers and received “high fives” as he made his way through the airport.

(CNS): Grammy Award-winning electro-jazz cellist, trombonist and composer Dana Leong will be performing at the 2016 Cayfest showcase on Saturday, 27 February. Known for his musical stylings that fuse classical, jazz and pop to creative unique and pioneering compositions, Leong also taught Jazz at Stanford University starting at age 16.
