(CNS): The Zak Quappe Flight Scholarship (ZQFS) has donated CI$2,500 to the Cayman Airways Flight Club (Clifton Hunter High School Chapter), which will be sending eleven boys and eight girls to the Florida Institute of Technology’s week long summer flight camp at the end of June. ZQFS is one of many Cayman Islands business sponsors of this year’s flight camp programme.

According to CHHS Flight Club Director Alfred C. Gordon, the flight club’s key objectives are to get students motivated and interested in the field of aviation and promote discipline while mentoring students on career choices in aviation.

If you would like to further assist the CHHS Flight Club, contact Gordon at the Clifton Hunter High School at agordon@chhs.edu.ky.

The ZQFS, which is separate from the CHHS Flight Club, is a scholarship programme set up to assist young Caymanians in their dreams in becoming pilots, and has sponsored one young person so far. The people behind the fund view this donation to the CHHS Flight Club as a perfect vehicle to use scholarship funds.
