Riders provide exciting finish to jumping series
(CNS): The Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation (CIEF) held the fourth and final leg of this season’s National Jumping Series on Sunday, 29 May, at the Equestrian Centre and, except for a 30-minute rain delay, the show went off without a hitch. Highlights of Sunday’s show include first-time National Jumping Series wins by Marleigh Smith aboard Max in the 0.60m pony class and Charli Milgate riding Rambo in the 0.60m horse class.
In addition, there was a nail-biter in the 1.0m class where the top three riders were separated by less than one second. Winners of each class were:

With the completion of the National Jumping Series, the CIEF will announce a series champion and reserve champion in nine different categories at the federation’s annual awards dinner on 18 June, where champion and reserve champion dressage riders will also be named.
The 2016-17 horse show season will start up in the fall with show dates posted on the CIEF website in late June.
