Team captain Alisha Kee, along with teammates Adelaide Walton and Carmella Ylagan, collected the Wendy Quinland trophy at an awards ceremony held Thursday, 23 June at St Ignatius High School. The young bakers showcased their skills during the Cupcake Wars held on Saturday, 28 May, at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Competitors were challenged to create two cupcakes, one using fruit and the other diabetic friendly.

The event, part of this year’s Child Month calendar, was sponsored by the Youth Services Unit, Kiwanis Club, Caribbean Utilities Company, Department of Children and Family Services, Ministry of Tourism and Layman Scott Senior High School.
