(CNS Local Life): More than US$230,000 was raised this past weekend for a charity that raises funds for childhood cancer research. A total of 118 volunteers were sponsored to shave their heads for Hannah’s Heroes and every dollar raised from the event will be donated to the St Baldrick’s Foundation, which provides grants all around the world to those carrying out research into treatments for childhood cancers. Since 2013, more than $1.2 million has been raised.

A team from Harneys’ Cayman participated for the third consecutive year. One member of the “Harney Westwood & Razors”, Marc Kish, said, “The atmosphere on the night was electric. We are very proud to have been a part of such a wonderful event, and to have raised over US$20,000 for this important cause.”
