Pensions Board to bring celebration to the Brac
(CNS Local Life): The Public Service Pensions Board (PSPB) has finalised the programme for its Pensioners’ Appreciation event at the Aston Rutty Centre on Cayman Brac, set for Monday, 24 April 2017. The celebration, from 4pm to 8pm, is being held in partnership with the island’s Ministry of District Administration to mark the fund’s 25th anniversary.
Organisers are hoping to match the success of a similar event held for PSPB retiree members at Pedro St James two weeks ago, which attracted around 400 attendees.
According to the event’s social committee, Deputy Governor Franz Manderson and the Minister for District Administration, Tourism and Transport, Moses Kirkconnell will address the gathering and PSPB managing director Jewel Evans Lindsey will thank everyone on behalf of the board.
Deputy District Commissioner Mark Tibbetts will be the emcee with entertainment provided by Brac students and music by Brac Fire, featuring Peter Dixon and Norman Carter.
Local chefs will provide the food and beverages, and residents will bring homemade heavy cakes.
As well as free health screening and advice booths staffed by the Health Services Authority and the PSPB, attendees can look forward to spot prizes and give-aways.
