Airline delivers surprise to contest winners
(CNS Local Life): A contest launched four weeks ago paid off for 12 people who each won two tickets to the destinations served by Cayman Airways. Representatives of the airline, including mascot Sir Turtle, travelled across Grand Cayman, Friday, 28 July to surprise the winners of the Instagram competition with their prize packs, and greet people along the way.
Cayman Airways expanded its social platforms and launched its Instagram account earlier this year with the competition, which required entrants to follow @CaymanAirways, like, repost and tag a travel buddy to win tickets. The result was more than 500 entries and 2,000 followers over the four weeks.
“It was great to see so many followers and competition entries in such a short time period, especially on a newly launched platform,” Olivia Scott-Ramirez, marketing and public relations manager for the airline, said.
“It gives us great pride to see so many local and international followers interacting with Cayman Airways over social media and we wanted to give something back to our loyal fans and followers,” she added, noting this was one of the largest competitions the company has run in recent years.
