Dariel Ebanks (right) loses his bout against Benjamin Whittaker

(CNS Local Life): Cayman Islands boxer Dariel Ebanks lost to England’s Benjamin Whittaker in his men’s 75kg bout at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Despite giving it everything he had, he said Whittaker was the better man. “He’s a great fighter. I have to give it up to him,” he told Cayman’s pool reporter Ben Meade. “I was trying to catch him with a good shot but he had a good eye. He kept dodging them. The only thing I was catching him with was the jabs.”

He added, “I should have started off with that because I have a great jab. It got me off the game plan.”
