Reasons for denial of Caymanian status
When the Department of Immigration (DOI) refuses an application for the granting of Caymanian status, does the board have to have grounds for refusal? Also, are they required to inform the applicant why the application was refused?
Auntie’s answer: When the Caymanian Status and Permanent Residency Board refuses an application, the reasons for that decision are then entered into minutes, the DOI explained.
Then the decision, along with the reasons for the refusal, will be included in a letter to the applicant.
And, just in case you need to know, the applicant has 28 days to appeal the decision.

If you have PR, are Naturalised BOTC, have resided continuously for 15+ years (without a break of more than 4 months, per submitted Immigration report), maintained property of equal or greater value, remained financially non-reliant, have stayed out of prison for a year and remained employed, passed health check, and sourced 3 esteemed Born Caymanian references, then you should have no problem. I’d say welcome, but if you are successful, you will have already been resident here, contributing among us for 15+ years! Welcome to the voter pool!
