Gov’t works on framework to monitor prisons
(CNS Local Life): The government is looking to set up a monitoring framework for prisons and detention centres in Cayman with a board of community members conducting site visits. The monitoring visits will be conducted by a board of community volunteers, which will fall under the Office of the Deputy Governor.
JGHS alumna appointed to CSA working group
(CNS Local Life): John Gray High School alumna Taneil Lee, 21, has been named Cayman Islands representative for the Caribbean and Americas Commonwealth Students’ Association (CSA) working group.During her two-year service with the CSA, Lee will advocate for better education policies in both private and public educational institutions for students across the Cayman Islands.
